We used to "hide" pills in food, like cottage cheese. More often that not, the pill ended up on the floor after going in the dog's mouth while the food disappeared. That doesn't happen with Pill Pockets.

These can be used whole or in pieces. It is the perfect way to give pills to dogs.

I tried this with my old dog and she would eat the pocked and spit out the pill. Then she would not take even the pocked.

My beautiful smart finnicky male Keeshond will actually take his medicine with these. He will not take his medicine even if it is disguised in people food. There must be something in these pill pockets that dogs love, and that covers up the smell and taste of the medicine. Thank you.

I am so happy these were invented. I would dread when medication was needed knowing the battle to ensue. My dogs love these so much, I'm almost tempted to taste one! When one needs a pill, the other gets an empty pill pocket or she feels slighted. This is actually their most favorite treat.

These really help get the pills eaten, but I found that the packs I just got include a lot of broken pockets. They seemed to crumble in the bag.

This product is a GIFT to pet owners. I would spend so much time trying to hide pills in peanut butter, hot dogs, wet dog food, you name it...and my dogs would eat everything and spit out the pill! My dog needs medication twice a day and sometimes does not like to take the pills. She readily takes them when placed inside the pill pocket - she thinks it's a treat. Only downside is that they are a little pricey and leave a little grease residue behind if you sit them on the counter.
