Our dog loves this. He's a medium size dog and the smallest size ball is great for him. We use it to play fetch whenever we go to the park. He can carry either the ball or the rope end in his mouth. He loves when other dogs can tug on the rope end and they can play with it together.

Quickly went to the top of Homer's and my favorite's list. Hours of fun. Cannot be destroyed! It's recycled.

What more could we ask for?

Our 85 lb. German Shepherd LOVES these balls. They are his favorites. He loves to play fetch with them more than any other of his toys. He is a world-class chewer, and he gnaws on these balls every day with no damage at all. We've bought lots of toys for him, but these are his favorites!

My Red Heeler absolutely loves playing with the throw-me-a-rope ball. She especially likes it because the malleability of the rubber allows her to chomp down on it.

The only downside we've found with this toy is that the rope slides out of the ball after a few tough tugs when two puppies play with the toy together. It's easily replaceable, though, and arguably a great safety feature.

Although not a great tug-of-war toy, this ball is hands-down my dog's favorite fetch toy.

My dog really liked it, but undid the knot almost immediately. We tried tying it tighter, but he kept getting it undone and now we just have a ball separate from a stringy rope. :( waste of money

My year old lab loved the toy for the whole 2 minutes it lasted. After a few good shakes my pup had successfully removed the rope, sent the ball flying, and chewed it to pieces. I was really disappointed especially since it was quite expensive!

I bought this because the catalog said it was tough. My Jack Russell Terrier has never had a toy that lasted more than 15 minutes. He had both ends of the rope untied and chewed to shreds in about 8 minutes. The ball is fine & now he plays with that, but it would have been nice to have a heavier duty rope.

My dog loves to play fetch. LOVES it. I thought a ball on a rope would be great for indoor play on rainy days, since we would be able to do a little tug-of-war with a ball, which she would LOVE. Alas, after about two minutes with this, my dog had gnawed the knots out, and had the ball of the rope. She enjoyed chewing the rope to smithereens, and still likes the ball, which is sturdy and easy to find in our yard, so we still get a great deal of play out of it, but just not the kind I expected. Great ball, but not so great when you expect it to stay on the rope.
