We first purchased a Kong for one our of Great Danes years ago and this is still the best toy I have found. Very versatile can be used for fetch, hide and seek with treats inside, or just to pass the time chewing. Our current dog a senior Labordor and also a heavy chewer destroys most other toys in 15 minutes or less, but not the Kong! He also has some allergy and anxiety issues which caused him to constantly lick and chew on his legs and paws. The Kong stuffed with peanut butter, carrots or other tasty treats keeps him busy and happy, no more excessive licking or chewing. We also use the Kong Ball at meal time, placing 1/2 the kibble inside to keep our dog from eating too quickly. I would definitely recommend this.

My puppy plays with it in the back yard and seems to enjoy it. It is very "bouncy". It appears that it will hold up well under the auspices of my puppy. He is very rough on his toys!

We bought a Kong for our first Golden Retriever many years ago. It is still going strong with our third Golden working on it. All of the dogs have been aggressive chewers and the Kong has held up great. It was a "liked" toy until we strung a rope through it and it became a favorite toy. Our current pup loves to swing it back and forth so it hits his sides repeatedly, so it has to be an outdoor toy for him! This toy is made to last.

There is no toy on the market other than the cong that lasts more than 15min with my dog. I have spent tons of money on other toys that claim to be for dogs who like to chew, but the cong is the only one that stood up to its promise. The shape adds a challenge to our dog when playing fetch.

You can't beat the Kong for toughness and versatility. BlüDog, my Weimaraner has murdered so many toys it's not worth counting. But give her a Kong and she's good to go. Bounce it safely around the house. Stuff a dry treat in there and watch her try to work it out. Or just spread a touch of peanut butter (a little goes a long way!) inside and let your dog spend an hour smacking his/her way to oblivion.
