That's Good Stuff
Either Too Large or Too Small
By Used To Be a Blue Girl from Dallas, TX on 10/28/2010
Pros :
Dog Likes It, Easy to Clean, Fun, Tough
Best Uses :
Active Dogs, Indoors, Puppies
Describe Yourself :
Long-time Pet Owner

My dog loves it, and the treats are no where near as slimy as I thought it would be after my dog had his wet mouth all over it. We have only had one problem with it. The small is too small for my Whoodle, and the medium is too large. For size reference, my Whoodle - half Standard Poodle and half Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier - is 35 lbs. I wish there were an intermediate size. And my dog is no small-mouth. I'm having a hard time imagining the dog that needs the large.

Great toy when supervised
By * from New York, NY on 08/31/2009

We bought this for a dog who can destroy most chew toys in 15 minutes. This ball lasted an entire week before he managed to puncture it. The discs that go on the end slip out when slobbery, so they need close supervision. We found that the compartment in the middle is best, because you can stick small treats in that keep them safely busy for hours.

I have a white destress collie and 2 yorkies. The collie is 11/2. He was 8months when I rescue him because I wanted to have a dog for long walks. The fist week he chew up everything even a new bedspread. I would go and find every thing that said they were tuff but he would chew and tear them apart in minutes.Last month when I went and pick up their dog food I saw this toy and said lets see what happens. He got the treat out in a minute but I took it back and found I didn't have it in good enough. I got it back in the correct way it took him weeks to get it used up and I just now had to get new replacements for it.

Average, Ordinary
Just a side note
By Boston Terriers Rule! from Minneapolis, MN on 10/13/2008
Pros :
Dog Likes It
Cons :
Choking Hazard
Best Uses :
Larger Dogs
Describe Yourself :
Long-time Pet Owner

Please be careful when purchasing these either on the site or at stores.[...]in our area of Minnesota discontinued them. When we got our first boston we bought the smaller version for her because she was so small. When the discs get wet they can slip out of the holder, not only leaving a mess but also they are slippery from slobber. Our boston got one stuck in her throat and thankfully I was able to get it out. It is a great toy but it needs supervision.

My dog Molly breaks every toy I give her within a week. Even her greenies disappear in seconds. This is one of the few toys that she does not leave in pieces.

Bring dog to work, Single Dog Owner

One of the challenges of a dog-friendly office is keeping them happy and engaged while we're in meetings or otherwise staring into computer screens. For those times when Theo seems bored out of his mind, but I'm unable to give him much attention, the Extreme treat is my ace-in-the-hole. The "ball"--actually cylindrically shaped with great wobble action--is incredibly tough. But what's best is that the treats fit tightly in the ends and aren't easily popped out. Theo in particular seems to quickly master the art of treat extraction on most toys in record time. Not so with this one. He'll eventually get it, but only after a solid chunk of interactive play time.
