from new boston nh on 05/26/2009I have three very aggressive "chewers" and am always looking for a toy that will last longer than a few hours - the squeaker broke after two days (thankfully) but did not come out of the toy.
After three weeks they were still playing wtih it - only problem was the small pieces of rubber ball that could be chewed off.

from Washington, DC on 01/15/2009This toy ended up in the stockings of three different dogs - one heavy chewer, one moderate, one not. For everyone but the heavy chewer, it's a great toy - and a decent substitute for a foxtail (tennis ball attached to windsock-material). The heavy chewer, though, tore a hole in it within 10 minutes. Don't get me wrong, she still likes to play with it, but I wish it held up a bit better.
from Lock Haven, PA on 01/10/2009I would give this toy 5 stars but I haven't had the opportunity to try it in the water yet. I got to say that my dog, Whimsy, just loves to chew on the ball head of it. :) Everyone think it is so cool and unique looking. I can't wait until summer.

from Oregon on 06/26/2008Any terrier worth his salt will have this toy disemboweled in no time flat. My Border terrier had it torn up in about an hour.
My labrador had this toy for only a little over a week & it's already in pieces. He absolutely loves it, but the rubber ball came out of the mesh netting when the threads quickly tore out. We did throw it around quite a bit & he retrieved it from our pool (is it not made to get wet?). This has to be the shortest life span of any of my dog's previous toys. He's not an aggressive chewer. Just something to note about the low durability on this otherwise really cool toy. Guess it's not for big, active retrievers like him.
this was a great toy and made for easy catching and throwing. The stiching at the back of the head came undone after just two throws. Had it lasted longer it would have been a great play toy.
