Bullies Ramp It Up!
By Mickey ~ Bully Owner from Pittsburgh, PA on 01/11/2012
Pros :
Easy to Clean, Easy to Use, Lightweight, Quick Installation, Safe, Stores Easily
Cons :
Takes a bit of time
Best Uses :
Auto, Large Dogs
Describe Yourself :
Long-time Pet Owner

The Bullies love to ride in the Jeep and now they are getting into the car on the Ramp! It's definitely a backsaver (our two males each weigh over 90 lbs. so lifting was getting a bit tiring, to say the least!)

Helps dogs AND owners stay on the go
By Short Woman, Shorter Dog from Cape Cod on 12/20/2011
Pros :
Easy to Use, Lightweight, Non-Slip Surface, Portable, Saves Joints and Backs
Best Uses :
Arthritic Dogs, Auto, Heavy Dogs, Older Pets, Owners with Back Trouble, Short Dogs, Small Dogs
Describe Yourself :
Long-time Pet Owner

My 11 yr. old corgi goes everywhere with us & has always sprung into his crate in the cargo area of the Outback...until this year when age and arthritis have made it more difficult. I had been helping him in and out until I was thrown from my horse and couldn't easily lift his 30 lbs. This ramp solves both our problems. He learned to use it in about 3 minutes (Genius!). It's light enough (and compact enough) for me to just fold it up and pack beside his crate so we always have it in the car. And the non-slip surface makes him feel secure scooting up or down it. A real problem solver!

This product works
By Lab Lover from Kansas on 10/14/2010
Pros :
Easy to Use, Lightweight, Quick Installation, Stores Easily
Cons :
A bit narrow
Best Uses :
Auto, Large Dogs, Older Pets
Describe Yourself :
Long-time Pet Owner

My 112-lb., seven-year-old yellow lab learned to walk the ramp in about 20 minutes of training with bacon-flavored treats as his reward! At first, I had to grab his collar to help guide him up. I drive a 2010 Jeep Commander Sport SUV, and he recently pulled a muscle in his hindquarters jumping in/out of it. The unit came fully assembled(thank you)and folds neatly in half and stores easily. I can also lift/lug it around with one hand as it only weighs 10 pounds. The only negative comment I have is that the ramp is a bit narrow; my dog wanted to get on the ramp from the side instead of at the bottom. The ramp's pathway resembles that of a small treadmill strip.

No More Yelping
By Bubba's Mom from Minneapolis, MN on 05/19/2010
Pros :
Easy to Use, Lightweight, Safe, Stores Easily
Describe Yourself :
New Pet Owner

My 6-year-old Basset Hound used to yelp every time I helped lift his backend into the SUV. With the ramp, he can get himself in and out with ease. Much less stress for both me and the dog. It was definitely worth the money!

Aussie that Loves Car Rides
By Aussie Owner from Wisconsin on 05/15/2010
Pros :
Lightweight, Quick Installation
Cons :
A little steep
Best Uses :
Older Pets
Describe Yourself :
Long-time Pet Owner

My wife is pregnant with twins so we had to get rid of a car we loved for a "Crossover" (Lincoln MKX - same as Ford Edge). We have an almost 10-year-old Australian Shepherd who lives and dies for car rides. Even at 10 he'd still rather jump from the ground into the back. We're working with him to climb up the ramp. It still is very new to him and it just takes positive reinforcement and time. (Don't give up - make sure you have him get in under his own power even if it takes a while in the beginning). Once our buddy gets in, he walks down perfectly. They will get it, just be prepared to be patient. Even though we are still going through the "training" phase, I like the ramp - the gritty texture and ability to fold up is very nice. Do/say whatever always trips your dog's trigger to get him in. It gets easier each time as long as you show him a positive trip/event/thing when he gets in there.

It really is "Lite"

Pros :
Easy to Clean, Easy to Use, Lightweight, Quick Installation, Safe, Stores Easily
Best Uses :

I own three 13 year old dogs ranging in weight from 27 pounds to 95 pounds. They all caught right on to getting in and out of the SUV with the ramp. They are all arthritic so this is a big help, and I don't have to lift any of them in to the car anymore.

My Aussie adapted very well
By Woman on the Go from San Antonio, TX on 12/10/2009
Pros :
Easy to Clean, Easy to Use, Lightweight, Quick Installation, Safe, Stores Easily
Best Uses :
Large Dogs, Older Pets
Describe Yourself :

My Sandy is 8 years old & jumping up into my SUV was not easy for her and consequently started lifting her myself. At first she hesitated about getting on it. While holding a treat in my hand as a "magnet" to lead her, saying the word "ramp" she walked up the ramp into the cargo area and the treat was her reward! Though the ramp seems steep because of the height of my SUV, I think it helps to hold onto her harness while she walks up or down to give her a sense of security and confidence to use it. Now she associates the ramp with a positive outcome, a ride and a treat.
