Great product and definitely worth the cost

The gate works perfect for my situation. I can shut the dogs off when I need to without taking the gate up and down or having to move it. I can also open the small door to let the small dogs through but keep the big dogs out as some people are okay with the small ones but the big dogs make them nervous. I ordered a second one because the first one worked out so well for me.

We have a 50+ lb. Vizsla and 20 lb. Cairn Terrier. This gate is perfect allowing the little one access to his bed and food through the small door during the day. We needed a tall gate to keep the Vizsla in at night -- she easily jumped the 31" gate. It's the perfect solution for big/little roommates!

I'm using it at the bottom of some stairs. Watch for the bar at the bottom of the gate. It's easy to trip on if you're not thinking.

The big dog seems happy with it as a barrier; he doesn't try to jump it or charge it.

Assembly was fairly easy, though one should remember that the nut goes toward the gate, not the wall, which would seem more logical.

So far , so good.

I got this second one to separate the dogs from the cats but thought I could leave the cat door open so the cats could come out when the dogs were outside. However, my smaller dog, 43 lbs, is able to get through the cat door. With the cat door closed the gates are effective for him and allow air flow through the house. My 120-lb German Shepherd is so smart that he figures almost everything out and has figured out how to open these gates even when the red lock is in place. He is also smart enough that he knows I have a reason for the gates and he only opens them when he thinks there is an emergency - same thing with all doors. Only a keyed padlock or deadbolt secures him! The gates would be great for almost all dogs.

We bought this to contain the dogs in the laundry room as needed. It is so handy and easy to operate, wish I had found it years ago! I have a large collie but also a 17 lb shih tzu mix who can jump a regular height baby gate, so this is perfect. (However, the 5 month old chihuahua puppy I am fostering can walk right through it, so if you have a very tiny dog, it won't work.) The quality was surprisingly good, considering the price.

We bought this to keep our dogs out of the kitchen and wanted a nice looking gate. This is perfect! We can now get rid of the baby gate that just leaned against the wall. This looks and works so much better. The door opens very easily and it was easy to install.

We have 2 golden retrievers (65 lbs ea). This gate is great for keeping them in the kitchen. Our one dog regularly jumped the old gate - the other dog would push and hang on it until it opened. The new gate works! It's secure and high enough to prevent them from jumping. Instant behavior modification - because of the gate! Thx!

I neglected to add in my previous review: Our 65 lb. hound and 35 lb. boxer mix were both also able to scale this gate. They are probably more athletic and monkey-like than most dogs. I looked and couldn't find any higher gates on the market, so I actually wouldn't fault this gate. It's a good gate. I'm just not sure what the solution is for our household.
