Portable Dog Crate

Your dog loves his crate. It’s safe, cozy and familiar. Unfortunately, it’s the size  of a mini-fridge—and about as easy to move. Our lightweight Portable Dog Den changes that dynamic.  Although this is an extremely well made product, no fabric crate will contain a pet that chews or scratches to get out.

My husband and I LOVE these crates. We actually have 2! We have a 7 month old lab who calls the SofCrate his home when we're out at the beach. We keep one (36") at our beach house and one (30") for him to travel in to and from. The crates are very easy to set up and break down and so far seem tremendously durable.

Because of the soft material and sturdy design, my dog and I loved it immediately!

My city dog can finally become a country dog with ease! I've been searching for a portable crate for my dog to travel on the train or subway in, and I finally found one that folds up and is easy to carry when not in use. I'd say the only thing that could make it better would be a durable bottom with some castors. But, I'm not complaining. It's worth purchasing!

We have been so impressed w/ this dog den. It gives our 70 pound golden retriever more than enough room and he loves it. It is great for traveling and extremely easy to store- watch the video online- they aren't kidding on how great it is. We are going to get another one for our Puppy once she is fully crate trained.

Worth the investment!

We got this crate for our new Aussie. We have a heavier, sturdier crate for her at home; this one is for travel. It is very durable with good ventilation and folds nearly flat. It is lightweight and thus easy to transport--crucial for us. The one thing that I find a bit difficult is the set up. The bars that are the frame have to be just right in order to "lock" in place. I think the set up is easier with two people; one working each side but it can be done with one person. Be careful not to pinch your hand!

This has worked well at agility trials. Sets up quite easily, not very heavy to carry, and seems quite sturdy.

We bought this for travel and love it. Our dog was crate trained already when we purchased this and still scratched at it the first few times we had him in there. That is probably because he is only in this when we travel so he's already in an unfamiliar place.

This was the EASIEST to assemble travel crate. We bought (and returned) several from various places and couldn't be happier with this. It takes less than a minute to set up and take down and stores easily under the bed.

My only concern with this crate is that it would not be good for dogs that scratch. The screens and sides do not seem like they would be durable for more aggressive, anxious dogs. We also put a towel in the bottom because our dog was trying to dig the bottom and it got a tiny bit scratched. Nothing was ruined, you can just see little traces of his puppy nails.

Overall this is a great product. I would just encourage people to get their dog used to it BEFORE leaving on a trip.

Cheaper than PetCo or Petsmart! I had a smaller portable crate for my 2 goldens and now that they are 6 months old they can both fit into this one comfortably. When the time comes I can use this one for the larger golden and the smaller one for the medium golden. These are great because you can take them anywhere and they can hose right out if need be. Wonderful product!

We will use this crate while traveling. Our dog is already crate trained and not a chewer, so this crate should work for us. Since this crate is fabric, it would not be good for a puppy or dog that was not crate trained or was a chewer.

Note that the create has three zippered openings. One on the top, one in the front and one on the side. The front and side zippers have "locks" which are simply clips to keep them from coming unzipped.

The crate sets up and comes down very easily and is light and easy to move.
