from Buckingham, PA on 08/06/2009Very easy to put on and take off. My dog's head won't slip out like it did on his regular collar when a hot air balloon flew over us and he got frightened. He slipped his collar and ran home. Now he can't back out of his collar and we can work on his balloon phobia. Thank you!

from Boston, MA on 02/02/2009My Aussie puppy (almost 8 months) is growing quickly and is quite rambunkious. We have used standard choke collars with some of our other dogs but really hated them. The Martingale gives us the control we need without hurting "Merlin". The bright yellow collar is stunning against his blue marl coat.

from Dublin, OH on 01/25/2009I love the martingale collars they are great for very skiddish dogs, like my foster dog. THERE IS NO WAY TO SLIP THESE.
This one I have no doubt is very durable but it was very stiff where my foster almost looked uncomfortable. Now Charlie Brown is breaking it in and loves it.

from Fairfax Station, VA on 12/19/2008I have used a martingale collar on my German Shepherd his whole life (he is now going 14 -- magic of the collar?!!) and bought this one for my new rescue dog. The material is wonderfully pliable and soft. The martingale system is perfect to train and control the dog when needed by acting like a choke collar (gentler on the windpipe)and preventing slipping over the head (some dogs are very good at this trick). The width of the collar also contributes to its comfort. I also like the choice of colors available!

from Texas on 10/16/2008the color is not exactly the same as pictured on the website, but that's the only complaint. the hemp material is eco-friendly, and also the softest yet durable collar i've purchased for my dog. of her 7 collars (including a Coach, deerskin leather, reflective, etc.), this is the collar i keep on her 24/7.

The collars, along with the double leash from your catalog, make the walks less difficult, more enjoyable, and more controlling of the two large dogs. Instead of going in two directions with two leashes, and having collars that would slip off their necks, these collars tighten when they need to, and loosen when they don't, giving comfort to the dogs while teaching them to respond to the tugs. I love the collar so much I purchased one for my son's large Hound mix who likes to slip out of his collar when he doesn't want to go in the direction you want him to go. it has helped tremdously in training this pup to behave. Thanks for the Martingale collars! I haven't had them long enough to know how they will do when needing washing, but suspect it will do better than the last ones I had that were leather, and retained the smell even after hand washing! I will let you know in a few months!
