DOG TRAINING COLLARS

Whether you're teaching a new puppy or correcting behaviors in an older dog, there are gentle and effective dog training collars that will make the process easier for both of you. We offer various types of dog training collars at FetchDog including bark collars, martingale dog collars, Gentle Leaders™ and collars specially designed for puppy training. Teaching your dog good behavior is an important part of dog ownership and an appropriate dog training collar makes an often difficult process faster and more effective.

Dog Bark Collars

Barking is a natural behavior for dogs - it's their warning call, bathroom alert, boredom voice, dinner bell and expression of excitement. Incessant barking however can lead to unhappy relationships with your dog - and with less forgiving neighbors. We offer two types of gentle, bark collars that provide mild, negative stimuli to correct barking. Our Citronella Bark Collar squirts a small amount of mildly unpleasant citronella spray when your dog barks. We also offer vibration-sensored shock collars that emit a mild shock upon barking. Although this may sound harsh, we personally tested them on our own hands and they are actually quite gentle.

Martingale Dog Collars

Martingale dog collars tighten in response to how hard a dog pulls, then relax and loosen while he is at rest. Martingale collars are especially helpful for dogs whose heads are narrower than their necks, as they risk slipping out of ordinary dog collars. Martingale dog collars are also recommended as a puppy collar for those who are not sensitive to the touch of regular flat dog collars.

Gentle Leader Dog Collars

The Gentle Leader™ Head Collar is a head halter that applies pressure at the back of the neck rather than the throat and is highly effective at stopping leash pulling. The Gentle Leader™ also helps to control dog-on-dog aggressive barking. Although the Gentle LeaderTM features a nose loop, it is not a muzzle and dogs can freely open their mouths to eat, drink, fetch a tennis ball or pant.
