Car Couch Instructions

Place the Car Couch on either the front or rear seat of your vehicle. It will be high enough so that when your pet is inside they will be able to look out the window and see what’s happening outside.  This keeps them interested in their ride and they won’t want to climb on your shoulders or in your lap, making for a safer ride. Our customers also tell us that motion sickness has been reduced for many pets.

Bring the car’s shoulder harness and bottom belt down through the open slot on the back of the Car Couch seat and snap it into the seat belt receptacle. This fastens the Car Couch to the car.

For safety during sudden stops your pet should have a harness and be strapped into the Car Couch. A small strap is supplied with the Car Couch that attaches to your harness’s D ring and goes around the bottom seat belt that holds the Car Couch to the car seat. DO NOT ATTACH THE STRAP TO THE PET’S COLLAR. Adjust the harness so that your pet has movement but cannot get out of the Car Couch.

In the beginning your pet may move side to side. You can always put a safety pin through the supplied strap and the seat belt to keep the strap centered in the seat. It can be removed as your pet becomes accustomed to the Car Couch (safety pin is not supplied).

Your pet will quickly realize they can see out or sleep comfortably keeping both you and your pet safe during sudden stops.

Use the Car Couch at home or in Hotels as your pet’s bed and then move it into the car for travel. Your pet will look forward to sleeping in it at night.

The cover is machine washable in warm water, no bleach. Machine dry, removing promptly.

The manufacturer warrants this product to be free of manufacturing defects for a period of 90 days and will replace or repair it in the rare case it is necessary.

I have two Jack Russell Terriers under 1 year of age. They're both around 11 lbs.

Kaylee loves being in the car and loves looking out the window. This seat is perfect for her because she can lay next to the window with her head on the edge of the seat and stare out at the world.

Chance gets carsick just looking at the parking lot. This seat is perfect for him because it spans both a window seat and the center seat of the back seat of the car. So he can sit in the center and stare out the windshield, which helps to keep him from getting sick. It also gives him a great view of the two humans in the front seats, so when he does get sick we can reach him fairly easily.

Both dogs fit in the seat comfortably together, though neither can necessarily sprawl across it.

When we're not traveling, the seat sits in my living room in front of the picture window. I can't think of another dog car seat that I'd be willing to put in the front of my home as if it were another piece of furniture. The dogs love it and sleep on it as often as they do the humans' sofa. We store the harness straps in the drawer when the seat's in the house.

All in all, a great product that has really lived up to its price tag so far.
