RETURNING CANINE ZIP LINE
By Dawn Davis from Chicago, IL on 05/22/2010
Cons :
Description Not Complete

I have not tried this product so my review is not based on whether or not it works. I did purchase it from Fetch Dog. When I opened it, the instructions say "NOT TO BE USED WITH PASSENGERS IN THE BACK SEAT". I wanted this for my dog when we are traveling long distance with our family. Not going to work for us. It looks like it would be a great product otherwise.

My beagle is not the best car rider. He hates all sorts of tethers and crates. This gives him the freedom to move around and me the comfort of knowing he is safe.

No more leaping, Excellent safety
By Hoover's Mom from Omaha, NE on 10/01/2009
Sizing :
Feels true to size
Pros :
Attractive, Comfortable, Durable, Easy To Attach, Good Grip
Best Uses :
Everyday, Larger Dogs, Puppies, Smaller Dogs, Training
Describe Yourself :

The zip line and harness works great. My 3 yr old wheaten terrier can put her front paws on the console between the passenger and driver. It keeps her from climbing into the front seat or back of SUV when excited or lonely. She can go from window to window in the backseat. But when I used the auto seatbelt to secure the tether strap, she stepped on the control (unknowingly) and released herself. We can go for pleasant & safe rides now.

That's Good Stuff
A Reassuring Restraint
By Lauren the Sofhearted from Fremont, CA on 08/28/2009
Sizing :
Feels true to size
Pros :
Comfortable, Durable, Easy To Attach, Good Length
Best Uses :
Everyday, Larger Dogs, Puppies
Describe Yourself :

I have a 7-month-old Shepherd mix and he looooooves to either try to climb out the window or lick my face fervently while I drive. Obviously, I'm not too keen on his accomplishing either! :o) I bought this particular car restraint because it looked very easy to install - just hook it to your handles and go. Unfortunately, I realized too late that my new car doesn't have handles. However, the alternative installation using the backseat belts was much easier than I thought it would be - the instructions were definitely helpful in this department - and I haven't had a single hiccup since installing the zip line three weeks ago. Garfunkel can stick his head out the window to his heart's content and I don't have to worry that he's going to jump out at the next bicyclist. And the strap length is SUPER easy to adjust... so I can make it just short enough that my puppy can't reach my face while I drive. Win-win!

Perfect. It doesn't get any better
Save your best friend's life!
By EMac from Allen Park, MI on 08/03/2009
Pros :
Easy To Attach, Good Length, Safety First
Cons :
Decreases rear view a bit
Best Uses :
Larger Dogs, Puppies, Smaller Dogs
Describe Yourself :
Long-time Pet Owner

After a friends Shih Tzu became a flying object in a car crash, I bought this for my American Pit Bull Terrier. She has complete freedom of movement, yet I know she won't go through the windshield or escape in a crash. There is a slight decrease in your rear view field of vision, but it's easy enough to get used to, and really isn't in the "working area". All in all a product I'm happy to use and recommend.

Easy to use, works very well
By Cat the Dog Person from Galveston Island, Texas on 06/19/2009
Sizing :
Feels too small
Pros :
Attractive, Comfortable, Durable, Easy To Attach
Cons :
The harness was smaller
Best Uses :
In the car
Describe Yourself :

Easy to attach to car and unattach so its not in people's faces. Dog likes it. The harness was smaller than I expected it to be though, if your dog is on the borderline, order a size up.

Decent
By RockoTheMan from Phoenix, AZ on 05/29/2009
Pros :
Attractive, Durable, Easy To Attach, Good Grip
Cons :
Poor Fit
Best Uses :
Larger Dogs
Describe Yourself :
Long-time Pet Owner

The cable and harness are both very sturdy (and sporty!). I drive a Honda Accord and my boxer is able to stand on the middle console (front paws only) from the zip line given the distance between the backseat and front seat isn't to great.
