I use one of these on each of my dogs collars when we go out and walk after dark. My neighbors have come out to see what the lights were and have talked about getting them for their dogs as well.

Even though one dog is all white and 48 pounds, one white except for black ears and eyes and weights 26 pounds, it is very difficult to see them after dark at the lake. The lights are wonderful, I keep McGruffs on solid flash and Fancy's (the roamer) on slow flash. The first night my husband had so much fun watching them and
company wishes to stay until dark so they can watch the dogs. McGruff will shake his collar until his is facing the ground and he uses it like a flashlight. I also feel safer walking them after dark...the lights are a great invention. I have recommended the beacon to my vets and they were very impressed, and to a number of friends. They will make wonderful Christman gifts.

I got two of these for our labs and besides the fact that getting them on to their collars was a little hard, these lights are GREAT. Super bright, very easy to see and stay on nice and tight.

We walk in Maine after dark since in the winter after dark is after 4:30 or 5:00 p.m. so I need a light so I can see my dog when he is off-leash. The Beacon is the answer!

I have used the old Beacon in the past and loved it because it was tough and waterproof. BUT, we walk on a beach and the OLD Beacon would get jammed with the sand and be very difficult to screw on and off (I would have to use a wrench!).

The NEW Beacon is JUST AS TOUGH, it doesn't fall apart like the cheap Bling Blinker lights or others like it, and it turns on and off with an easy to push button.

It also has:
- slow flash, fast flash and steady on light
- two ways to hook it to the collar (a clip and a metal ring to hang it from the collar) to make it VERY secure
- it is very water resistant
- the light is very bright (at least 1/2 mile away)
- It works well in below freezing temperatures, REALLY!
- It DOESN'T get jammed with sand!

It's WICKED AWESOME! If you walk at night you should have one for you and one for your dog.

The Beacon is a highly visable red that allows three types of lighting. The blink type will draw the eye of a driver, the strobe type could be a deterant for other/wild animals, and the steady type of light allows for a calm steady light. All three types of lighting provide high level of safety in twilght to complete darkness.

I have high expectations for this new Beacon. I have owned several of the old model - which I loved because they were durable and WATERPROOF! And I mean SUBMERSIBLE- IN THE OCEAN, IN THE WINTER!

The old model of the Beacon used to get sand caught in it and it became hard to screw "on" and "off". I will check back and let you all know if this new Beacon lives up to the performance of the last one.
