Installing the barrier took some thought but once I figured how to do it, all was fine. If your car or truck's headrests do not move, don't get this model. I tried it in our truck with unmovable headrests and it did not work.

This barrier seems to work if I would restrain my Beagles in the backseat. My 3 year old beagle climbs over it if not restrained in the backseat by his harness. Great idea, nut does not work for my houdini!

the best thing about this is that our dog isn't trying to sit up front in our lap. sixty five pounds is a bit much for a lap dog...so yeah this thing does the trick.

We use the barrier to keep our 2 big bird dogs from jumping into the front seat which keeps them safely in the back seat. Easy to apply, easy to clean, leaves a little mesh at the top for the dogs to visualize us, economical, and most important of all, keeps them safe. We are really happy with the product.

The barrier really works to keep my active terrier out of my front seat, but I did not find this product easy to install at all. It came with a bunch of straps and adjustments, but no instruction on a recommended way to install it. I have it in my car, but I am still unsure if I have it in correctly. Wish there would have been a little more guidance. Other than that, I'm glad to have a barrier to keep my dog safely in the back.

Not very easy to install. Had to adjust to fit headrests in vehicle. Wonderful for the reason it is more durable to keep the dog from entering the front. Keeps them contained. Does not damage and/or leave marks on the interior roof and floor. Definitely recommended. It takes up less space.

The barrier works very well in normal conditions, but our dog flies over it when there is thunder or another dog approaches. Not the problem of the barrier, just an agile dog! It does keep him calmer, in the back seat, during normal driving.

It is the best thing that I could have bought. My Sadie really likes to ride shotgun but the front seat isn't the safest place for her to ride. I've tried a car seat harness but she chewed my seat belt almost in half. The barrier lets her wander about a bit, yet keeps her in the backseat and not in my lap when I am driving. The downside was that the installation instructions weren't as clear as I would have liked. But I got it figured out and I am very happy with the barrier.

We have a young active Golden that loves to travel with us. He thought he could give driving advise by resting his upper body on the console between the seats and peering out the front window. We knew this was a potentially harmful if not fatal way for Ted to travel. Ordered the Back Seat Barrier. It installs easily, we have a medium size SUV. At first glance, we thought there might be too much space between the top of the barrier and the roof of the car. This barrier works great. Keeps our boy from the front of the car and keeps him safe. Would not leave a dog in the car by itself with this barrier as the dog could become hung up trying to get over it. We have not used the seat divider.
