from Mentor, OH on 08/07/2009When I first opened the box and saw the size of the bowl, I was going to return it because it looked too small. However, we tried it to see. For the amount of food my dog ate, it was perfect. Make sure you order the bowl based on the amount of food that you will put in it. If the bowl is too big, the concept will not work. This product has worked great for my bulldog that used to be done eating within a minute. Now she takes her time and this has stopped her sour stomach issues!

She doesn't mind us giving her a pat on the head before she eats now and she takes time to enjoy her food - probably for the first time in her life. We have noticed that she even has a little drink of water when she is done. Life is getting better for our little rescue.

from Nebraska on 07/18/2009I ordered this bowl for my small dog and two of my parents' dogs because when they are together and it's time to eat, it's a race to see who can eat the fastest! My poor dog would inhale his food and then choke and wheeze because he didn't chew it.
This dish slows down the eating process so he can't get as much food in his mouth at the same time. He has to move his mouth around the rasied sections, so he actually CHEWS his food! I LOVE IT! I work at a vet clinic and have seen the results of bloat, so I'd highly recommend this dish for any dog who eats too fast!

I thought I'll just give these dishes a try. Wow! The bowls have easily quadrupled the time it takes them to eat. Love it!
from Apopka, FL on 07/09/2009This bowl is fairly well designed and does what it's supposed to: Slow down fast eaters. A few gripes I have about this bowl; The bowl is made of plastic and probably won't last more than a year or so with normal wear and tear from dogs and humans bumping into it. I have yet to find a stand, besides a flat stool to elevate the bowl for the dog. This bowl would get 5 paws if it came in metal.
