down. I just wish this came in stainless. I know it would be more expensive but worth it. I really don't like my dog eating out of plastic.
from Long Island, NY on 01/29/2009I found this product to work exactly as it should. It has slowed my dogs eating habits tremendously. The only one thing I don't like about this product is that it doesn't have a metal liner on the bottom of the bowl, therefore it has a tendency to slide all over when my dog is trying to get to all of his food.

Cleanup isn't bad since our dog does a great job at it. The size is pretty large, though...a little larger that I was expecting. But great, nonetheless.

from St. Louis, MO on 11/10/2008Slowed my St Bernard/Aussie's eating time from 20 seconds to over 2 minutes. He even chews sometimes now. I bought this bowl because he was eating so fast he would vomit almost instantly. It has worked amazingly well. The bowl is all plastic so it does slide around so I use a pad below it.
from Western United States on 09/05/2008This bowl has slowed her consumption time down, not as much as I would like, however it is considerably better than before. There were no problems accepting the new bowl.
She does have to work for the kibbles, which is a vast improvement over the vacuum cleaner behavior prior to this bowl....she could inhale her food in about 45 seconds. Now it is about 1.45 minutes to 2 minutes. My vet is happier as well, as due to her size we considered her eating behavior a possible tragedy in the making.
from Londonderry, NH on 08/02/2008After seeing what my brother went thru recently with his chocolate lab suffering from "bloat" (and thankfully surviving!) your product was the perfect "gift" for our year-old "granddog" - another chocolate lab. He eats slower and really is more content. This dish does all that it's advertised to do - great product!

from Orlando, FL on 06/19/2008My black lab use to eat so quickly that he barely stopped to breath. It use to take him 30 seconds. Thanks to this bowl he's up to about 4-5 minutes. My husband and I love it. Not only does it slow him down and improve digestion BUT he double checks all the corners for missing food. Which results in a cleaner bowl and healthier dog. Everybody's happy.

from NW Chicago on 06/19/2008This is perfect for my fast gulping Great Danes however; my youngest (2 year old) started to chew on the pegs when she was done eating so I'm careful to pull the bowl away as soon as she is finished.

from south central Illinois on 05/30/2008This bowl forces our Great Dane to eat slowly so she doesn't get the stomach problems this breed is prone to. Our other two dogs- a Cocker Spanial and a Mutt also eat from it and do just fine. This is just the best idea!!!
