My dog loves to go after the rawhide circles I put in the Bristle Bone. She gets it as a treat about once a week and it keeps her busy for hours. The only problem is sometimes it comes undone and then (if your not paying attention) she chews the ends and you can't put it back together again.

So, my dogs love bones. They chew nyla bones down to little nubs. I thought that this was a great way to get my dog's teeth cleaned while they enjoyed a treat. I was wrong, because my dogs just don't get it.

I purchased two--one for each dog. I gave them the bones. They prance around with them, but refuse to chew it. I added some peanut butter to entice them. They just sit there and lick the peanut butter off. I'm not sure why they will not chew the treats. It was really easy to figure out how to assemble and seems high quality, but I just cannot get my dogs to use it as intended.

My American Eskimo LOVES this toy!! It keeps her occupied for hours at a time and it really does help clean her teeth. Not a substitute for regular brushing but great in addition to it.

This little toy is fantastic. My dog loves it, although she doesn't really chew in the middle which is the part that would brush her teeth. She's making a mess of the ends, though. Regardless, she loves it even though it isn't really serving its intended purpose (yet). I still have hope she'll switch to the middle when she bores of the ends.

This is a wonderful idea, my dog is occupied for a LONG time! If reassembled even slightly tight, it is VERY difficult to unscrew. Maybe nylabone is not made for screwing/unscrewing?

I had ordered this to help with my dogs dental care. Unfortunately, I didn't tighten it enough
so she virtually destroyed it -my fault, not hers.

It's like brushing his teeth except that he LIKES it! He sings to it when he chews it, like he does his other favorite toy - the wubbie. I have noticed a definite improvement in the amount of tartar. One caution - if you have hardwood floors get the medium one - his favorite thing was to come up behind you and throw it on the floor - BAM - I had to give the big one to my daughter who has wall to wall carpeting. Now we have the medium one and it's fine.

He usually quickly "solves" puzzels and eats chews. This is more challenging. I also think it is getting him used to bristles so I can start phasing him into using toothbrush. I bought a second one when he bent/broke the first one after I replaced the chews. He hasn't finished the chews on the new one, I hope that I can install the replacements tight enough so that he doesn't take the toy apart again.

Best new chew toy I have found in a long time. The first day I gave it to my big chewer he worked on it all day. Each time he got it he became faster and faster in eating off the special treat. I give it to both our large and small dogs. They both love it! In the beginning my big chewer chewed off all the bristles on the toy. The second new one I gave him he had learned how to chew the treat without eating off the bristles. I have used it to stop behavior that I didn't like. I offer them the bone and they come running. They would stand on their heads if I asked them just to get the toy. It's a bit expensive but well worth it. I have recommended this to all dog owners I know.

I loved this bone, but after 4 short times of being chewed on by our miniature dachshund, she was able to pull out the bristles - all of them. The small size, without the bristles, is wonderful!
