from Keedysville, MD on 07/09/2009I will NEVER buy another brush. Our "water dog" retriever sheds everywhere in this season. Now we have less fur in pool. With a little more brushing, we'll have almost no "tumbleweeds" in the house. He looks so handsome.

It was amazing to see how much came off the dogs (they are all short hair). I sweep daily and this has made a big difference in the amount of hair/fur that sweeps into a pile on the floor. We used this the day before a dog show and our dog looked amazing!

from Columbus, Oh on 04/08/2009This is the best brush I've ever used by far. We've used it on our cat (amazing amounts of hair come out!) and have started using it with our new puppy. It's really surprising how much hair comes out. It takes some time, but is well worth it. Other brushes we had used with our old Golden didn't work nearly this well - I would brush and brush, and still he would shed. I wish I had found this sooner!

from Bloomington, IL on 01/18/2009We have an 8-month old golden retriever and we just started using this with him. We had been paying someone to do it when he gets groomed, but then I realized I could buy it and do it at home. We couldn't believe how much hair this removed.
It is a very time consuming brush, but if you and your dog are patient it's worth it. Our dog will let us brush him while he naps, so it's perfect. The groomer recommended using this every 6-8 weeks, but that's crazy! We use it every few days because our dog sheds so much.
Don't be fooled that this tool will stop shedding, but it does make it much more manageable. We use it along with the Furminator spray. I'm not sure if that makes a difference or not, but it does make our dog smell great!

from Boston on 01/15/2009I had high expectations for this brush and I must say I was very impressed with how well it works. I wish it was a little bit larger for how much it costs, but my dogs really seem to love how it feels and the amount of fur it pulls off of them is pretty darn amazing.

I use it on my 4 dogs (2 Labs, 1 Ridgeback, 1 Beagle) and 4 barn cats (3 long hair, 1 Siamese) and am completely amazed by its efficacy. The animals love it too-the 14 year old Lab races around doing wind sprints when her grooming sessions end. The cats get floppy for their grooming. I bought the medium size and it is ample for large dogs and does well on the cats.

from South Carolina on 09/12/2008Like everyone else, I hesitated to pay this much money for a dog brush, but I am now buying one for my parents' dog. The amount of hair that it easily removes is far more than any other brush or grooming tool I have ever used. I've been a dog owner for 40+ years and have used many, many types of brushes. This is the only one that I have found that can remove dead hair from the undercoat gently and thoroughly. It is a must for a dog with long hair or a thick undercoat. We also use it on our wire-haired terrier breed. She looses less hair, but the Furminator is still quite helpful. I have owned mine for about three or four years now and it is still in great condition even after heavy usage. Go ahead and spend the money...you won't regret it.

from Yorkville,Il. on 08/22/2008I have two Yellow Lab's and they shed, alot. This comb not only gets rid of the undercoat, but it makes the boy's coat smooth.
I have used it on my cat's. It is prefect for them. I have one cat with furball troubles and she is much better since I use it on her. They don't mind being combed with this.
I even used it on the furniture. It combed up the hair on it also. Next my husband. Just joking

from Des Moines, IA on 08/02/2008Izzi is a white Shiba Inu, and her white hair used to clump and roll across the floors. Driving me crazy. But a couple short sessions with the Furminator and no more fur balls. I did this months ago and haven't had to do it again. This product really worked for me
