I just received this bed. My hound does like to lounge on it (a plus), however it is not true to size, and she is falling off of it. I ordered the XL which is listed as 40" diameter. It is more like 33" diameter. :(

I was hoping for something bigger. We have two English Mastiffs and this is ok when they are small, but even the largest size offered is still too small for our 11 month old male. Plus, it's starting to flatten out and we've only had it for a couple of months.
My dog hardly ever used his old bed, which was a flat (but pillowy) and large indoor/outdoor bed. Now, with this new bed, he will go back to sleep in it in the morning while I take care of things around the apartment. I think he likes that it is higher off the ground and like surrounds him as he sinks into it. I think the color looks prettier on the website than in person. Also, he has already torn a few holes in it. Although, he had done the same with his last bed, if not worse, and he is notorious for destroying any toy no matter how indestructible it may claim to be. So overall I think this bed is worth the buy.
