Remove heater from inside pet bed cover. Wash cover on cold, gentle cycle and dry on low heat.
To test the heating element in the bed, simply place a pillow or book on top of the sleeping surface for about 20 minutes. Then feel under the pillow, it will feel warm and not hot. 102 degrees is only a few degrees above normal human body temperature.
