My Doberman had always slept in overstuffed chairs but seemed too crowded. After much research, I was sure these beds would make him happy. But the pillows won't stay tucked in smoothly and are perhaps too soft for him. I have two of these, but unless I close off the chair, he still goes to it instead of the beds. The beds are nice, but he just would rather be in his chair. There's a lot of money in the beds, so I'm disappointed he doesn't like them like I had hoped he would. I put a fleece blanket over the bed to protect it - especially since I can't wash a pillot cover.

I waited till I had this for several weeks and I had washed and dried the cover.
I bought this for my 65 lb. Lab/Boxer mix. She is a spinner and likes to sleep all curled up. She loves this bed and so do I. Washing and drying was a breeze. There are 3 zippers, one for the top bolster, one for the side bolster and one around the bottom so you can remove the sturdy foam bottom.
I washed and dried the cover on cold and dried on low. Then washed and dried the cushion separate the same as cover.
Putting is all back together was simple, but did take about 7 or 8 minutes. Probably won't take that long next time because I'll know what I am doing.
The hardest thing was that dog was impatient and couldn't wait to get it back.
I predict this bed will last for a long time.

My 90 pound labradoodle Kraymer loves this bed. He cuddles on it frequently, it's like he has his own little couch! Fantastic purchase. Pricey but VERY worth it!

My Black Lab, Max has been sleeping on this bed for over 4 years now. I was actually on this site looking to buy him a second bed for the summer time (this style gets a little warm for him in the summer, but he absolutely lives in it in the winter) and I stumbled across his bed and thought I should let all you potential buyers know that this is a GREAT buy! I used to buy Max a new dog bed every year, or maybe even two a year. I'd buy a cheap $30-$40 bed from [@]and they just never held up. Max weighs 87 lbs and I suppose that over time the foam just couldn't retain it's cushioning. So finally I broke down and chose this bed (because max is a snuggler, he loves curling up). He loves his bed! All you have to say is "pillow" and he rungs right over and gets in his bed. I've now had this bed for over 4 years and it looks just as good as the day I bought it! He drools all over it and it doesn't even show (which I was worried about with velvet). It's kind of a pain to clean, but max is black and I got the dark chocolate color so hair doesn't show in between cleanings. I would highly recommend this bed! I have a feeling we'll have this for years and years to come! And the best thing is, I've actually SAVED a lot of money!

My dog absolutely loves this dog bed. He likes to put his back on something when he sleeps, so the shape of the couch bed is perfect. Prior to purchasing this bed for him he had an L.L. Bean bed and there is absolutely no comparision. The minute he got on the new bed he fell in love and forgot about the old bed. The only complaint is that he doesn't have one in evey room!

She wouldn't go near it at first, so I draped one of her dog blankets over it and then she took right to it. Now she curls up in it every evening (without the blanket) and rests her head on the armrest. It seems like she just loves it and I like the fact that it looks like a little piece of furniture in my living room.

DO NOT be put off by the price. I was a skeptical buyer, but the rave reviews swayed me to purchase this sofa for our 80 lb. American Pit Bull. I was purchasing a new sofa, and hoped that this might be a more attractive spot for him. He LOVES it!! The day after this dog bed arrived, I was working outdoors and couldn't find him. He had gone back inside and was in his bed in the middle of the afternoon! And he loves to be outdoors! He used to sleep with us. Now at bedtime, we cannot persuade, haul, pull, or shove him out of his own plush sofa. And, by the way, his Top-Dog Sofa sits right next to our new living room sofa!!
I intend to purchase a second one for our new beach home :)

This is our mini-doodle puppy Harry's first bed (until now he's spent his nights in his crate). We wanted something he would be extremely comfortable in so he would be attracted to it and sleep through the night. Also, since it's in our bedroom, we wanted something attractive, which it certainly is. It took Harry just a moment of sniffing before he decided that the bed was his. He fell in love with it immediately! He loves the shape and the feeling of security it's design provides.

This bed is not only attractive looking, it is comfortable for all my pets--2 cats and 2 dogs, the dogs being 12 pounds and 30 pounds. Everyone in my household loves this pet bed. The price is a tad high, but it is worth it. The construction is high quality and the pets love it.

I have never been able to keep my lab off my couches. Until a few months ago, I'd given up and just dedicated one to him. But, recently we did some remodeling and there was no more room for "his couch," and I needed a good alternative to keep him off "mine." This bed is perfect. From the moment it came out of the box he knew it was his, and he rarely leaves it. It's soft, warm and he loves resting his head on the high arms. It's a fairly new purchase (used only about a month), but at least so far, it fits the bill perfectly.
