To measure you dog’s paw:

1. Have your dog stand on a firm surface (wood, linoleum, or concrete).
2. Place a piece of blank paper under a front paw.
3. Lift the dog’s other front paw, so that its weight is placed firmly on the paw being measured.
4. Mark the paper at the paw’s widest point on the left and right edges of the paw.
5. Use a ruler to measure the width of the paw (in inches) from the left mark to the right mark.
6. If the measurement falls between sizes, round up. For example: if the width is greater than 2.25" and less than 2.5", the dog would wear a small boot; if the width is greater than 2.75" and less than 3.0", the dog would wear a large.

I bought them for the harsh icy winters of Germany but after putting these on my two boxers it solved my worries about having the dogs in my rented house. These shoes are great for protecting the floors of rented quarters. A small investment to protect the floors and my dogs paws while out on the winter salted side walks and streets in Germany!

We have a Great Dane that was diagnosed with Wobbler's Disease. These boots were great to help him "plant" his feet and get traction. But because he has such a "wobble", the boots often spun around and we were constantly readjusting them. So the top of the boot wore away really quickly.

These boots are great. My Pitbull hates to get his feel wet or dirty in the snow. He hated going outside. Once I put on the boots, he was excited to go for a walk outside during this long cold winter! Thanks for a great product. Dale, the dog, loves them. He gets excited to see the box come out of the closet!!!

My Australian Shepherd has very soft paws. He likes to stay clean by constantly licking them, I think this contributes to his delicate pads. I'm an avid cyclist and got a pair of these boots so my dog can run along side me. I'm glad I did (I wasted a lot of money on other brand booties, none worked til this). There are many reason to protect your four legged friends paws; there are chemicals on the ground, be it grass, side-walks, or trails . . . when your dog licks his paws after a walk, he is at risk of ingesting poison or disease. To prevent that get a pair and give it a try, another alternative is to wipe their paws clean after every outing. You will be pleased with this product.

The boots are nice and will protect a dogs paws, but they need to come up higher on the leg with more velcro fasteners to keep them from coming off. I tested them on my Shorthair in some calf high grass by my house and sure enough, one of the boots came off. Fortunately I found it after 30 minutes of searching, but when in the field hunting pheasants, I won't have that luxury. I'll have to use tape to adequately secure them to her feet. Ruff wear would have a winner on their hands if they followed this advice. I'd buy a second pair if they made the modification.

My dog was diagnosed with arthritis in his front feet and had a terrible time walking on rock or gravel. These shoes have given him new life! Where before he would stumble and walk gingerly he RUNS on rough surfaces. The shoes are easy to put on and once my boy "high steps" a little he seems to actually enjoy having the booties on as he knows they help him walk and run!! A great product and I would recommend them highly!
