This product is great, and keeps my Westie cool when we're out and about in the summer heat. We have many days where we'll be outside for 10 or more hours, and this is a great product to keep her cool 'n comfy. Most days she won't even pant until the temps rise above 95, so long as she's wearing her Swamp Cooler. Plan ahead and bring extra water if you're not near a hose, however - in the direct sun, this product needs refreshed with water about once per hour. The only negative is odd sizing - she's 23 pounds, and I ordered the small, and the neck-hole is about right but everything else (length, girth) is too big. I have to fold the back under by about 4 inches (doesn't seem to bother her) and pulled the girth in as far as it'll go. Looks a little goofy, but works pretty well even given the extra material. Sizing is totally off from all other products I have purchased on FetchDog. from the medium I origianlly purchased, I really needed an extra small and gave up with a small. Returns to the mfg were not easy.

Product itself is GREAT. My terrier is super sensitve to the heat and LOVES this. We can walk again!

We meet each week with a dog walking group and my Boxer mix was having trouble with the Gulf coast summer heat. This vest seemed to keep him much cooler. At the end of the walks he feels cool to the touch under the vest and doesn't have to keep stopping to cool down during the walk. Others in the group were impressed with the results.
It's easy to put on, he has no problem with having it slipped over his head and he doesn't try to get it off so I guess he doesn't mind wearing it.
It does drip so, after we wet it at home, we carry it in a plastic bag to the walk and put it on him after we get him out of the vehicle.

I bought the vest for running with my very fluffy 80 pound shepherd mix. Any temperature above 70 degrees is too hot for him, so I got this in hopes that the light color and moisture would cool him a bit. He hates the water, so he's not a big fan of the wetness of the vest, but once it's on him, he seems pretty content. The vest does dry out pretty quickly in hot weather, but I found that by soaking it really well and not wringing it out much, it stays wet longer. He has the large size vest and it fits very well.

i bought this for my pharaoh hound so that she can still go on our longer runs in the summer. i was afraid it would be bulky or weigh her down but the material is very soft and light weight. it imitates sweating for the dog to keep them cool. i love it and would highly recommend it for dogs who are outside in the summer. now i can finally bring my best friend with me and not have to worry about her overheating. great product!

It really makes a difference in the way he feels in hot and humid weather. He has a lot more energy. I found that the back of the jacket is almost dry after an hour in the sun, but if I don't squeeze out some of the water, it drips all over. But when it's really hot, I'd rather have it dripping so he keeps cool. Fit was good, and straps are adjustable.

This is a blessing for anyone who owns a flat faced/short necked dog. Sophie is a brachycephalic french bulldog, and this vest is a lifesaver!!! She was cooled down in under 10 minutes...which used to take 30 minutes with a cooling bandana and wet towels. I was unsure about how it would work as it is a bit big and bulky, but Sophie took right to it. Highly recommended for us owners of breathing challenged pups!!!

I really like it, although I do find that he still gets overheated when wearing it out on walks.Hosing him down b4 putting cooler on helps, and soaking cooler b4 putting on also helps. I use it mostly when I go to my destination in my truck that has know A/C.

This was a really good idea for where we live with no air conditioner but when wet was much too heavy for our old Cairn who has weak hips. Would be perfect for a younger or stronger dog.

We purchased the swamp cooler vest as we live in very hot & humid south Florida. The vest has been a life saver, it really helps keep our Bernese Mountain Dog cooler on his walks. He really enjoys wearing it as well, I think he knows he looks fashionable & unbelievable cute. All the other dogs we meet on our walks ask where we purchased & we always tell them Fetch Dog!
