The Great Pyrenees
To the casual observer, a single Great Pyrenees may act like two different dogs: wonderfully social with the people and animals in his household, but reserved or even wary with everyone else. But the Pyr is not schizophrenic: this apparent duality results from centuries of guarding his home or his sheep while also developing a strong bond with the shepherd.
