The English Foxhound

The regal Foxhound, lifting his nose to the air or dashing after the fox in the company of his brothers ahead of a crowd of huntsman on horseback - you have seen the pictures. Perhaps no breed of dog has been portrayed in art as often as has the English Foxhound. Everybody knows a Foxhound when they see one (unless they wonder why that Beagle is so tall), but few people have ever actually met one.
