The Basset Hound
Despite its droopy visage, the joyful Basset Hound is a good-natured, loving dog that plays well with children and is happy most of the time with everyone in its family, including the cat. However, the stereotype of a sorrowful-looking dog with a sad, mournful expression persists and is promoted by many for comic effect and to attract attention to commercial products from shoes to carpets.
