We bought one in each width to cover 2 doorways and keep our 2 dogs out of the living and dining room. We love the 24 inch height because it is simple for us to step over. They are also great because they stand up by themselves (very stable) and do not need to be braced against the doorway. They are also very attractive yet subtle. It doesn't look like our house is full of barricades. I highly recommend these gates.

I have a 7-month old Corgi puppy who loves to roam (and chew!). This is a great gate to block off the hallway so that he can't get into the bedrooms. It folds flat and is super e-Z to pop into the doorway of the hall. I can step over it and the pup can't. It's just the right height and is sturdy enough to stand up to a very stong frontal attack from an inquisitive Corgi. ;-)

We use this gate between our kitchen and the staircase that leads upstairs. It fits nicely in this wider opening with expansion room to spare. We used an old baby gate before but found that we tripped over it a lot because it was just a few inches taller. With this new gate, we can easily get over but our dogs (11 pds and 13 pds) cannot. My only complaint would be that we bought the wider gate (#H20009)last fall and the wood stains don't match between the two gates. They are separated enough in our home to keep this from being an issue but might not meet your needs if you are concerned about the aesthetic.

perfect for bottom or top of stairs and small doorways, good looking, got many compliments on it. almost like a peice of furniture.

I really love my standalone gate. It allows my old cat to make a graceful jump into the bedroom, but it keeps the pugs out of this room and consequently out of mischief. It has been a perfect purchase to meet my needs and I highly recommend it.

This gate is great for small dogs. It adjusts easly to the door opening and is easy to step over. This gate is also very attractive with a nice wood finsh. I am planning on ordering another one for my livingroom doorway.

This is a very nice-looking gate, but my medium-sized dog (puggle) has jumped over it twice. It works well as a training tool to remind him not to go upstairs, but if he really wants to go up there, it won't stop him.

It's a nice looking gate and I love that you don't need to screw it into the wall. Unfortunately, one of my two dogs learned how to jump over it and I wish I had purchased the taller ones.
