The non-toxic flea dip for dogs

Oral flea and heartworm medications for dogs are great inventions - except when the chemicals they're made of have adverse reactions in some dogs, particularly small ones. (Besides, in order for those medications to work, pests must take a bite out of your best friend - but that doesn't prevent the pest's saliva from causing an allergic reaction.) Since we don't really know the long-term health effects of these pest preventives on our best friends, many dog lovers - including champion breeders - are opting for safety first by taking the precaution of not using them.

Then how to prevent dangerous, disease-carrying fleas and mosquitoes from attacking Spot? Simple: With Neem oil, an extract of the mahogany tree that's proven effective to kill fleas. Absorbed into the blood through the skin, Neem is totally harmless and non-toxic, yet it makes your dog's blood taste bad to pests. Fleas and even mosquitoes may think about taking a bite out of your best friend - but they quickly think better of it.

Arming your dog is easy: Just shampoo her with TheraNeem Pet Shampoo as often as you like - it's a soap-free formula, so it won't irritate even sensitive doggie skin. During the height of flea and mosquito season, add a few drops of Neem oil to the shampoo in your palm as you prepare to lather up the dog.

Dogs need extra bathing during the summer anyway - this is a great way to make those baths really count. A terrific fringe benefit: Not only will Spot be protected, her skin and coat will gleam. Try it and see.
