Preppy Pooches

My preppy roots go way, way back.  In the '80s, I wore Izod shirts (with the collar up, of course), penny loafers and plaid kilts a la "Heathers".  I'm wild about monogrammed anything.  And when ribbon belts came back in style, I rejoiced.

Now, my dogs can get into the fun with the adorable ARFgyle collection.  All of the products came in three vibrantly colored argyle patterns.  I'm partial to the Lilly Pulitzer-esque pink and green colorway, but there's a chocolate brown, pink and yellow  combo that looks like candy, and a stylish blue, orange and turquoise mix, as well.

The plush ARFgyle Bones Dog Toy is almost too cute to nibble- Almost.  But nothing is too good for my girls.

Although they come in a range of sizes, I'm pretty sure the ARFgyle Dog Sweaters will be a bit too small for my dogs, Stella (a Belgian Malinois) and Cassidy (a Golden Retriever mix).  But if there were any way I could squeeze them into one, I would.

Oh, well.  I can console myself by thinking how adorable they'll look trotting down Main Street at the end of an ARFgyle leash.  They'll be the most stylish duo in town.  Heck, I might even break out my old Izod for the walk.

Like mother, like dog-ters.
