Everything's Going Swimmingly

When we talk about Cassidy's favorite things, it's like alphabet soup.

W-A-L-K. G-O. R-I-D-E. R-U-N.

But not even spelling can fool our Golden Retriever mix when we talk about her favorite activity: S-W-I-M. Her tail's wagging before we got to "W".

Stella, our Belgian Malinois, couldn't care less about the water, even on the hottest summer days. But Cassidy would swim all day long if we let her. These days, she's slowing down a bit - and she doesn't seem as buoyant as she used to - which is why we're so intrigued by the Big Eddy Float Coat and the Portage Float Coat. These life jackets for dogs were designed with rough water and swift currents in mind, but we think it could do double duty, making swimming even more fun for the old girl.

Whenever Cassidy sees water, she usuallly jumps right in. But when she's at the pool or on a boat, getting back out can be a problem - unless we bring the Scamper Ramp. This ramp attaches to a boat deck or pool surround, making it easier for her to get back where it's dry - not that she wants to.

At the end of the day, nothing smells quite like a wet dog. Unless said wet dog hops up onto the couch, curls up on your bed or flops down on the carpet. Since all of these things have happened to us, we're especially happy to find this FlopHouse Bed with a nonabsorbent top layer. It's cozy enough to be comfortable for Cassidy after a long day in the water, yet practical enough to make cleanup a breeze.

With all these dog problem solvers, we'll have F-U-N every time Cassidy goes for a S-W-I-M.
