April Showers - Rain Gear For Dogs

Sure, April showers bring May flowers.  But they also bring dirty, wet, smelly dogs.

Personalized Dog MatWell, they used to, anyway - before we discovered FetchDog.  Our dogs, Stella and Cassidy, can't seem to resist anything muddy, wet or gross.  And we're guessing your dogs can't either.  Which is why the Personalized Water Trapper Dog Mat and Bark 'N Boots are perfect for spring's tempting showers and puddles.

The rain in Spain - or Maine, or Coeur d'Alene - is no match for the Water Trapper Mat.  Used in the mudroom, the mat's polypropylene construction absorbs water and snags mud and dirt before your dogs enter the house.  Indoors, it makes a wonderful place mat for you dog's food and water bowls.  The mat is machine-washable and resists mold and mildew - a plus if your dogs are anything like Cassidy, who leaves as much water on the floor as in her mouth.  Even better?  You can customize it with your dog's name - or like my neighbor, with the welcoming phrase "Wipe Your Paws!"

More adventurous dogs and their humans will appreciate the Bark 'N Boots, which allow canine companions to hike in comfort without hurting their paws.  They're absolutely adorable - the all-terrain version looks like miniature Merrells - but don't let their appearance fool you.  These are serious shoes.

For rough, rocky trails, try the All-Terrain version.  A snug-fitting, breathable upper makes them comfortable and functional, while Vibram soles give them excellent grip and control.  A walk in the partk - or around the block - calls for the Skyliner Dog Shoe, a flexible bootie with a stretch gaiter that keeps dirt and water out.

With these dog problem-solvers, April will be a little drier for you, your dogs and your house - no matter what the weather brings.
