A tail we could wag - Promoting an age-old artform

The driving force for what we do has always been a genuine love for man's best friend.  Two decades ago it was a poem by W. H. Auden that really captured the essence of our company and led to our somewhat unusual name, "...in moments of joy, all of us wish we possessed a tail we could wag."

Since our inception, the color and texture of Mayan weaving has been an inspiration for our products.  We have partnered with some very special Mayan artisans living in the highlands of Guatemala to create a look and feel that is not only unique but helps support their small community.  The casual look, quality craftsmanship, brilliant colors and fun-spirit of our products have been inspired by nature itself and a passion for the great outdoors.  We use designs that are indigenous to Guatemala and those that have been created specifically for a tail we could wag.  The Mayan people have a tremendous history in their unique styles of weaving that has passed from generation to generation.  Our partnership not only provides us with an exceptionally beautiful product, but allows the weavers to earn income from their craft and promote economic development within their community.
