Unleash Brooklyn is one of the country's most impressive dog boarding facilities. At this clean, cozy, cage-free establishment, the owners shudder at what they call the "K-word" (for kennel), so dogs stay in swank surroundings, resting their heads on plush Crypton dog beds after a long day of vigorous playing and socializing.

Meanwhile, Unleash's in-house non-profit, Dog Habitat Rescue, recently joined the prestigious Mayor's Alliance for New York City's Animals and has succeeded in placing many adorable dogs in loving, forever homes. But dog rescuers' work is never done, so to raise funds for its ongoing efforts, Dog Habitat is hosting a Casino Night this Sunday, January 31st, at 4 p.m.

The featured game is "Poker Unleashed," a Texas Hold 'Em Tournament (players must pre-register by calling 718-710-0707 or emailing pokerunleashed@gmail.com; the buy-in is $80). Players who feel lucky may also indulge in Black Jack and - appropriately enough for a K9 venue - Craps.
