Tomorrow morning, FAO Schwarz officially goes to the dogs. The famed New York City destination for toys, beloved by kids of all ages, is teaming with North Shore Animal League America, the world's largest no-kill animal shelter and adoption organization, to help save dogs' lives by hosting the Grand Finale of the Animal League's ninth annual Tour For Life.

Tour For Life is the world's largest cooperative adoption event in which two Mobile Adoption Units criss-cross the country on simultaneous monthlong routes, helping various shelters and rescue groups in their mission to adopt out orphaned animals. Since the program began in 2001, Tour For Life has placed thousands of homeless animals with loving new homes.

Taking the focus off the splendid stuffed animals normally on display at FAO Schwarz, tomorrow's event will feature real, live puppies in its windows. The dogs are all available for adoption, and they will be cuddled by celebrity dog-lovers including actress Kathryn Erbe of "Law & Order: Criminal Intent"; teen actor Josh Flitter; "One Life to Live" star Melissa Archer; award-winning menswear designer John Bartlett; and several stars of the hit reality show "Greatest American Dog."

As if all that weren't incentive enough to stop by, visitors can avail themselves of a special FAO Schwarz shopping hour, between 9 and 10 a.m., during which a percentage of sales will benefit the Animal League.
