At the Simpson-Wentz wedding, the ring bearer was a dog

At the May 18th wedding of Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz, the groom's Bulldog, Hemingway, did ring-bearer duty.
 
Further keeping things all in the family, Ashlee's sister, Jessica, was the maid of honor, and the non-denominational ceremony was performed by the Simpson sisters' father, Joe.
 
The wedding had an "Alice in Wonderland" theme, with arrangements of black roses for centerpieces and a cake in the shape of a top hat, stop watch, and pot of flowers. Despite the presence of a Cheshire Cat, a White Rabbit, and a March Hare, there's no dog in "Alice in Wonderland," so Hemingway the ring bearer wore a Pierrot collar of alternating black and white satin triangles, as revealed in the cover photograph of last week's People magazine.
 
The bride, meanwhile, wore an ivory lace gown by Monique Lhuillier. She will be known henceforward as Ashlee Wentz.
