Given Duke is more than a partner, he is family, when he is old enough to retire will you be able to keep him? - Marie

Most EDC's ( Explosive Detection Canines) in the NYPD Bomb Squad work till they are approx. 8-10 years old. A few have worked even past 10 depending on their health. When these canines can no longer do the job, they are "retired" to their handlers home and family. When I retire, Duke will most certainly retire with me and romp in the yard 7 days a week.

Hello and welcome to LIVELY LICKS: Profiles of Dogs and their People.
I have been known for many years as an actress and, as you probably know, have played some characters who have not always treated animals – especially dogs – kindly. The truth is that I have been surrounded by dogs my entire life and am a better human being because of it. Our dogs love us and keep us laughing through good times and bad.
