Your Licks: Glenn Close Responds on Dealing With Dog Hair
Posted on Apr 2, 2008 By Glenn Close
I am so overwhelmed with dog hair. It flies, sticks and interferes with my guests, even though I constantly use lint rollers and vacuum. What helps you? And could your advice help me? - Barbara Ballantine Barbara,
Bill and Jake are white and shed a lot, so I certainly know what it's like to deal with constant clouds of dog hair on clothes and everything else! The more you can groom them, the better off you'll be. Bill has a very thick coat and undercoat so I use a fantastic de-shedding tool, which you can order through FetchDog. It's called the Furminator and it really works. In fact, it is so effective on Bill that I always glean a big pile of superfluous fur at every grooming; enough to knit a sweater! Read the user reviews and you'll see they are all "Five Paws" - high praise, indeed. You didn't say what kind of dog you have, but if your dog has an undercoat, you'll really love the Furminator. The best part is your dog will love it, too. It doesn't hurt, at all. Another advantage to using the Furminator (or any comb or brush) regularly is that it gives you and your dog a nice time to bond. Bill and Jake love getting groomed - it's all attention to them! Thanks for writing,
Glenn
