Agility organizations

The United States has numerous agility organizations that govern agility competitions.  Anyone can join an organization simply by filling out an application and paying the membership fee.  Though all the organizations use similar equipment, the rules and games vary.  Understanding the basic differences will help you decide which organization is most suitable for you and your dog.  For more information, visit each organization's web site for an overview of its philosophies, equipment standards, rules, and special requirements.  If it all seems overwhelming, find someone who is already competing and join the organization to which he or she belongs.  That way, you'll have someone to travel with when you catch the agility trial bug!
