As with any training method, results depend on the consistency and effort put into training your dog. Our system is based on the great psychologist Ivan Pavlov’s discovery, that one form of learning is a result of repeated stimulus. By ringing the bells each and every time the dog is to go outside (creating a stimulus), your dog will learn to associate the stimulus of the bells with the ability to go outside. No dog is too old to learn this behavior.
Step 1 Hang the loop of the Training Bells on the inside doorknob (or hook) of the door(s) that your dog typically exits the house. Your Training Bells will hang down approximately 25 inches. Each unit is made to accommodate both small and large breeds. Your dog only needs to nudge any part of the Training Bells unit in order to make the bells ring. Training Bells should stay on the door at all times so that your dog can access them whenever they need to.
Step 2 Every time you take your pooch outside to potty, state a simple command phrase. We suggest
"Outside...Ring the Bells". Get your family involved! All members of your household should be consistent and use the same wording and actions with your dog.
Step 3 After stating your command phrase, ring your Training Bells in front of the dog. The dog should see AND hear the bells.
Step 4 After ringing the bells and saying your command, follow through with praise and allow your dog to go outside. It is important that you NOT reward your dog with a food treat, as they will associate the ringing the bells with receiving food. Also, we suggest that you not use that time to play with your dog outside so they don’t associate ring time with playtime. The dog will eventually associate ringing the bells with going and the praise they receive from their favorite person, you, is reward enough! DO THIS EACH TIME YOUR DOG IS TO GO OUTSIDE. CONSISTENCY IS KEY!
Step 5 After several weeks of this conditioning, continue to say the phrase you’ve been using each time your dog wants to exit the house. Tell them "Outside...Ring the Bells" and point to the Training Bells. Praise them once they ring the bells and allow the dog to go out. If the dog does NOT ring the bells, you ring the bells, restate your command phrase and then allow the dog outside.
Step 6 Each following week, repeat this conditioning until your dog starts to ring the bells on their own. It is critical that you praise your dog on his newly learned behavior to reinforce this action.
Remember to always listen for the bells, even if you are in a different part of the house from where you’ve hung your Training Bells. When you hear them ring… let your dog out!! Your dog can now communicate without barking, whining or having accidents in the house.

First I bought my mother-in-law one to get her feedback. She was very pleased, "home-run" was her description. After I knew it was safe to buy one for myself, I did, just got it, and I know it's value already. First feeding: no more errant nuggets of food surrounding the dish, and no more water slobber to glue the food to the floor. works great, dogs like it, it's attractive. I thought this product was a spectacular idea. As a boat owner, we needed something like this for our 18 lb., 7 yr. old terrier mix, for our long day cruises when taking her to land to relieve herself was not an option. The problem is, she is so well trained to go on grass, or dirt, or anything that solid outdoor ground, no matter what we did, she would not go on this mat. The mat was on our deck, and she knows not to go on the boat. We tried getting her scent on it, in various way, by putting grass, stones, and soil on it that she had marked previously. That still didn't do it for her. All in all, I feel that it's a great idea, but best for the dog that is younger and not so set in his or her ways.

We purchased this dog bed to give our pup a nice soft place top rest in the living room instead of the hardwood floors.
The ease of cleaning is a big selling point for this bed, and that it is tacked down and wont lose it's shape when washed. so is the fact that it is made from recycled goods.
The two main points against it are that it is too thin and does not really give that much padding, and the bottom side is a slick material which causes it to slide around and not stay in one place.
This bed is pretty expensive for what you get... ours is the XXL.

I ordered this product to help my 90 pound "angel" get up on the bed. At 9 years old, using the padded bench was getting a little hard for her. The bed appears to be well-made and I am hoping that it relieves the pressure on her back and legs. The finish on the piece is pretty nice -- a slight reddish cast to the mahogany finish but much better than I expected.
Assembling the piece was a breeze -- probably a 5 minute job but I did need to add some glue to the kit. After a little "wear" I will assess whether I need to add any finishing nails for extra support.

Good quality & looks nice. Like as steps are deep enough for 9-yr. old Golden Retriever. Very easy to assemble but suggest heavy wood glue versus Elmer's (Gorilla Glue) be used.

Even though one dog is all white and 48 pounds, one white except for black ears and eyes and weights 26 pounds, it is very difficult to see them after dark at the lake. The lights are wonderful, I keep McGruffs on solid flash and Fancy's (the roamer) on slow flash. The first night my husband had so much fun watching them and company wishes to stay until dark so they can watch the dogs. McGruff will shake his collar until his is facing the ground and he uses it like a flashlight. I also feel safer walking them after dark...the lights are a great invention. I have recommended the beacon to my vets and they were very impressed, and to a number of friends. They will make wonderful Christman gifts.

Totally Awesome Light for Night Safety!

We walk in Maine after dark since in the winter after dark is after 4:30 or 5:00 p.m. so I need a light so I can see my dog when he is off-leash. The Beacon is the answer!
I have used the old Beacon in the past and loved it because it was tough and waterproof. BUT, we walk on a beach and the OLD Beacon would get jammed with the sand and be very difficult to screw on and off (I would have to use a wrench!).
The NEW Beacon is JUST AS TOUGH, it doesn't fall apart like the cheap Bling Blinker lights or others like it, and it turns on and off with an easy to push button.
It also has: - slow flash, fast flash and steady on light - two ways to hook it to the collar (a clip and a metal ring to hang it from the collar) to make it VERY secure - it is very water resistant - the light is very bright (at least 1/2 mile away) - It works well in below freezing temperatures, REALLY! - It DOESN'T get jammed with sand!
It's WICKED AWESOME! If you walk at night you should have one for you and one for your dog.

The Beacon is a highly visable red that allows three types of lighting. The blink type will draw the eye of a driver, the strobe type could be a deterant for other/wild animals, and the steady type of light allows for a calm steady light. I have high expectations for this new Beacon. I have owned several of the old model - which I loved because they were durable and WATERPROOF! And I mean SUBMERSIBLE- IN THE OCEAN, IN THE WINTER!

This seat cover is tough stuff which is better for protecting the back seat. My only problem is that we can't tighten up the straps that go over the headrest enough to eliminate the sagging! Its one size fits all so there will be slack in a smaller car. We will apply our own methods to tighten that up. Other than that, the dog hasn't complained!

It really is terrific, keeps my dog and her dirty feet, etc. under control and easy to clean-up and eliminates the possibility of falling to the floor during a sudden stop. One suggestion: My dog likes to try to come over the front and into the front seats...because the zipper (handy when having a passenger ride in the back) tends to come down with her weight, it tends not to restrict her ability to do so...you need to put some sort of a "lock" on the zipper so it will only come down with "human" manipulation!

Dachshunds are not to jump up or down from heights because of their tendency to slipped disks and other back problems. It is the best thing that I could have bought. My Sadie really likes to ride shotgun but the front seat isn't the safest place for her to ride. I've tried a car seat harness but she chewed my seat belt almost in half. The barrier lets her wander about a bit, yet keeps her in the backseat and not in my lap when I am driving. The downside was that the installation instructions weren't as clear as I would have liked. But I got it figured out and I am very happy with the barrier.

We have a young active Golden that loves to travel with us. He thought he could give driving advise by resting his upper body on the console between the seats and peering out the front window. We knew this was a potentially harmful if not fatal way for Ted to travel. Ordered the Back Seat Barrier. It installs easily, we have a medium size SUV. At first glance, we thought there might be too much space between the top of the barrier and the roof of the car. This barrier works great. Keeps our boy from the front of the car and keeps him safe. Would not leave a dog in the car by itself with this barrier as the dog could become hung up trying to get over it. We have not used the seat divider.

I have an Audi A4 sedan and 2 dogs--Golden Retriever and Yellow Lab. I purchased the dog barrier to keep them in the backseat. They still move into the front seat when I leave them. I needed a car carrier that would elevate my dog and secure her at the same time. This is a perfect carrier for small dogs. My dog is 9 lbs. and she likes to see everything out the windows. Now she can look without jumping out. Sometimes, I've found her sleeping in it. I attached this to my rear passenger seat, and I don't have to worry about air bag deployment when we're in the car. My dog is no longer a distraction when I'm driving. A must have!

my dog jumped right in and appeared totally secure and comfortable. She is not a bit fidgity, now that she can easily see whats going on. I am very happy with the quality of the jump seat.The only thing I dont like is the extremely strong and offensive manufacturing odor which forced me to send it through a wash even before using it. It still smells pretty bad which is a bit of a drag in a confined space. Otherwise extremely happy

A great way to safely transport my pups that doesn't make them car-sick - they love looking out the windows from their comfy seat. However, only one of my dogs can come with at a time, as this model only attaches to the front (bucket) seats - if there was a way to use it in the back seat, that would make it perfect.

I never thought my girl would be comfortable in this, but was willing to try it--for her safety. I had to get her off my lap. First time, she did not like it! Second time, she was comfortably chewing her toy by the time we went home. It's sturdy and secure. I don't have to worry about her becoming unbalanced or falling. It keeps me from being distracted. The only problem so far is the color--orange is not our favorite.

i love this car seat before i got this my dog would get car sick and not look forward to going in the car! now he runs to the garage and hops right in the car and cant wait to get in his seat and go for a ride! he has not gotten car sick sense and he loves that he can look out the window or through the windshield and see the world going by! i am so glad i purchased this without it i think i would have a very unhappy dog not to mention alot of cleaning of my car to do! i would say if your pooch gets car sick try this seat you wont be sorry! and your pooch will thank you! i also like that it has a built in harness holder so he is also safe from falling out!

I got this at a local pet store in Denver many moons ago...and it's still hanging around and the boys STILL love it. If I stuff the smaller toys in there, my doxie/russell mix will drag them right back out-proud as punch of himself. I have crammed small treats in there as well...which distracts him when I leave.
I have only ever had to sew the turkey leg back together...and my two like to eviscerate as soon as humanly possible.
I highly recommend this toy for any dog that likes or needs a challenging/thinking toy!

My schnauzer likes to slide his bowl around as if he's hiding the food! We end up with as much food outside the bowl as he eats! This bowl has solved that problem. He still slides it and pats the food with his nose but the food stays in!!! The bowl is phenomenal!

My dog was constantly throwing her food out of her bowl! When the bowl was on the floor, she'd even turn it upside down. I bought a feeding station that lifts the bowls off the floor, but, she still managed to dig her food out all over the place - it even ended up mushy in her water bowl! I've been searching for these bowls forever! The angled rim absolutely prevents her from tossing the food out of the bowl! She's a smart cookie, and, keeps trying to find a way to do it... (who even knows why!!), but, so far these bowls have done the trick... HA! HA! I have finally outsmarted her! Thanks to these wonderful bowls! Oh yea... and they're very attractive, as well. Her feeding station is black wood & all I did was replace the stainless steel bowls with these. They fit perfectly, and, with their black & white design, they look like they were made for the station... Fantastic!

Great quality....very durable and great concept. Reminds me of car mat material. Lettering is great...can see it very clearly. The black does of course, show every bit of dirt and crumb droppings. Wiping clean is not so easy. Vacuuming or shaking it out. I have washed it already and it washes up well. (I choose to hand wash it). Colors appear not to bleed when hand washed.

After a friends Shih Tzu became a flying object in a car crash, I bought this for my American Pit Bull Terrier. She has complete freedom of movement, yet I know she won't go through the windshield or escape in a crash. There is a slight decrease in your rear view field of vision, but it's easy enough to get used to, and really isn't in the "working area". All in all a product I'm happy to use and recommend.

i love this zipline. my dog took a few days to get used to it, but he feels safer knowing that i'm not constantly nagging him to sit down or get out of the back of my suv. i would recommend this product to any kind of dog, for i used it on my 7 mo. old beagle as well as a 2 yr old american bull dog! great all around product, details. and the harness is super when on walks or runs at the beach!! 5 stars!!

I bought this for my flat coat retriever who is very excited about "going bye-bye". It prevents him from jumping in the front seat while I am driving and it keeps him safe as well. He can still roam from side to side in the back seat. I like that it has multiple functions such as the harness and leash. It has definitely made our travelling much more pleasant and enjoyable!

This bag is great to carry my dog's food when we tavel to Maine to visit friends. MUCH better than the plastic bag I used to use. The bowl cleans easily and the bag holds plenty of Clyde's food. The only 'con' is that the bowl doesn't attach to the bag. I am very happy with this product

All 3 of my dogs have a different fab dog collar...they look great (what you see is what you get) and are very durable. Due to rough play at the dog park, etc. one of my dogs went through 2 more expensive collars in the span of 3 months before I discovered the fab dog collars. He has had the crocodile fab dog collar as his main collar for 2+ years and it has held up nicely. I periodically throw the collars in the washing machine along with their bedding, no problems. Just purchased the crab collar for our most recent rescue and I expect the same results!

Wonderful shampoo - gentle and smells very nice. I have both the green tea and the lavender fragrances. Both left my dogs' coats clean, soft and shiny. I also follow with the spray conditioner in the matching fragrance. Love that too! It is rather expensive, but very concentrated, so you don't need very much - even for big dogs.
