"Carter"
In early January 2012, Pembroke Welsh Corgi Carter was left in a shelter in Alabama.
By the end of the month, and thanks to the wonderful efforts of a local rescue group,
he made his way to New York City where I adopted him. For the first few weeks, the
four-year old was a shy, frightened little fellow who nervously hid in corners and
under the bed. It was almost a month before his ears perked up and he smiled for
the first time. Today, he enjoys walking around Brooklyn, playing in the garden,
cuddling, being spoiled (just a bit!) -- and now, he can't stop smiling!
